Drugs Projects

YWIC also provides a Cork Local Drugs and Alcohol Task Force (CLDATF) Drug and Alcohol project for all ages as part of our service within the community.

The Project offers one to one support, and addiction counselling, Family Support, and Group Activities. The workers support people who have concerns about their own, or family members, drug or alcohol use.

We provide a safe and confidential place where people who are seeking to change their drug and alcohol use pattern can talk about it, and explore ways to improve their lives.

Together with the client, the project workers will assess the client’s use, and work together in drawing up a care plan. The Project workers will refer and support the client if they choose to enter treatment.

Concern are hosting a World Café in St. Peter’s, Cork on the 25th of January 2018 from 18.00. Endless amounts of coffee/tea and light refreshments will be made available. It would be fantastic to have representatives from Youth Work Ireland Cork who might be interested at the event, adding their voice, experiences, knowledge and ideas on how Ireland will “LEAVE NO ONE BEHIND”. SDG 5 – Gender Equality is the goal we will be focusing on that evening.

If anybody is interested, please contact Joe on 0868274863
